Meet the Doctors

Matthew Jones, DMD

Dr. Claude R. Edwards, Jr.

Dr. Edwards was born in Orlando in 1952. He graduated from Boone High School in 1970 and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in biology at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1974. He attended Emory University for his dental degree and received his diploma in 1979. From there, he performed his Dental General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Virginia/VA Hospital in Richmond, VA. He finished his residency in 1980.

Dr. Edwards began his private practice with Dr. William Epps in 1980 at 245 San Marcos Avenue in Sanford, FL. In early 2000, Dr. Edwards began making plans to relocate his practice. By July 2002, Dr. Edwards had moved his practice to its current location at 2509 Park Drive.

Dr. Edwards is experienced in all aspects of dental care with an emphasis on periodontal, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. His team and patients know him to provide impeccable, compassionate dentistry. He continually seeks out the best dental procedures, but always thinks of his patients’ needs first. Although many people hate going to the dentist, everyone feels at ease and cared for in Dr. Edwards’s chair.

For all of his professional attributes, Dr. Edwards is also well-known for his lighthearted personality. If you happen to visit the office and hear laughter in the next treatment room, don’t be alarmed; it’s just Dr. Edwards trading jokes with a patient. Some of Dr. Edwards’s hobbies include boating, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his four children and nine grandchildren.

Dr. Nataly Yoncee

Dr. Nataly Yoncee

Dr. Nataly Yoncee serves as a trusted dentist, focusing on the prevention, early detection, and treatment of dental concerns to support long-term oral health. She works closely with our team to ensure every patient feels cared for, informed, and confident in their treatment.

Her path to dentistry has been shaped by a broad and hands-on professional journey. Dr. Yoncee began her career as a dental assistant, later practiced as a general dentist, and went on to serve as a clinic manager overseeing multiple dentists and specialists. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency and has pursued hundreds of hours of continuing education to continually refine her skills.

Dr. Yoncee’s dedication to service extends far beyond the office. She has participated in dental humanitarian missions in Panama, Jamaica, and underserved rural communities throughout the United States. She also proudly served her country as a dentist in the United States Navy Reserves.

Inspired by her family and community, Dr. Yoncee is deeply motivated by seeing patients overcome dental fear and rediscover confidence in their smiles. Outside of dentistry, she’s known for her kindness, positive energy, and love for kids, dogs, and chocolate. Her favorite word? “Yes."

Beverly—Dental Assistant

Beverly, the proud veteran at Dr. C.R. (Chip) Edwards, Jr.’s office, has been with his practice for over 25 years. Beverly graduated from the Miami School of Dental Assisting in 1978. She can discuss all treatment options available to you, the cost of the treatment you choose, affordable payment plans, and insurance coverage. Beverly is well educated in all aspects of the dental profession and is sincerely concerned with the health and wellbeing of her patients, many of whom she now calls friends.

Beverly’s hobbies include meeting new people and doing activities with her three children. She also enjoys traveling to Miami and the Florida Keys, boating, relaxing at the beach, and spending quality time with her family.

Karri—Business Manager

Karri, our business office coordinator and marketing manager, is well versed in all aspects of dental treatment. She is always willing to lend a cheerful hand wherever she is needed. Her goal is to make your dental experience a pleasant one from beginning to end.

Karri comes to us from New York State. She moved to Florida in 2000 after receiving a B.A. in English and journalism from West Virginia University.

Karri’s hobbies include fishing, running, and singing. She is an accomplished journalist and an avid boating enthusiast. She enjoys the opportunity to serve her patients’ needs and make their dental experiences pleasant.

Denise—Registered Dental Hygienist

Denise Arthur, RDH, brings over 42 years of expertise and dedication to her role as a dental hygienist. Known affectionately as the “plaque slayer,” Denise takes pride in performing cleanings that leave patients’ mouths feeling fresh and revitalized. Her approach focuses on making every patient feel comfortable and cared for, helping them achieve healthier, happier smiles.

Born and raised in Orlando, Denise’s passion for dentistry began early. Before becoming a hygienist, she worked as a dental assistant during school breaks, gaining hands-on experience and fostering a deep commitment to patient care. Those early years laid the foundation for her decades-long career in dental hygiene.

Denise believes that “laughter is the best medicine” and strives to bring joy to every interaction with her patients. One of the most inspiring aspects of her job is helping even the most anxious patients feel more at ease during their dental visits. Seeing them gain confidence and comfort in the dental chair is what drives her to continue providing exceptional care.

Valerie—CRDH

Valerie Fisher, CRDH, brings a vibrant energy and a passion for patient care to our dental team. A true team player who believes in creating a positive and fun environment, Valerie is dedicated to making every visit comfortable and enjoyable for her patients. Her favorite part of the job? Making people smile—both through excellent care and genuine connection.

Originally from Central Florida, Valerie grew up loving the sunshine, theme parks, and boating on the weekends. She’s goal-driven, always striving to learn, grow, and help others feel confident about their smiles. Whether she's cheering on a teammate or putting a nervous patient at ease, Valerie's upbeat attitude and caring nature make her an invaluable part of our team.

Becky—Dental Assistant

Becky is a skilled Dental Assistant at C.R. Edwards, Jr., DDS. She assists the doctor during dental procedures, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. On Fridays, Becky also manages insurance matters, helping patients navigate their coverage and billing.

Background

Born and raised in Florida, Becky has been a dedicated dental assistant for 27 years. She has been married for 12 years and, while she has no kids or animals, she loves spending her free time paddle boarding and enjoying the water. Her favorite quote, "Time heals everything," reflects her optimistic and patient nature.

In another life, Becky believes she was a dolphin, symbolizing her love for the ocean and playful spirit. If she won the lottery tomorrow, she’d start an "I don't work" company and travel the world. The best piece of advice she’s ever received is, "Always take seasick meds if you are on a boat," highlighting her practical and adventurous side.

Stephanie is the Patient Care Coordinator at C.R. Edwards, Jr., DDS. As the first point of contact for our patients, Stephanie strives to provide the highest quality of care and ensure that every visit to our office is enjoyable. She is dedicated to addressing any patient concerns promptly and efficiently, making sure everyone feels welcomed and valued.

Born and raised in central Florida, Stephanie is the oldest of three siblings. With seven years of experience in the medical field, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate touch to her role.
